Members now make a variety of films using digital camcorders and edit on computers using a number of software applications. Some members have moved to high definition equipment so that their films can be shown to their best advantage.

The film evenings are very popular with members, but the Club also run a series of workshops when demonstrations are given on various camera and editing techniques. Please see the Events Page for details of our current programme.

You can access links on the Club Films page, which will allow you to see some of the films made by members of the club.

However, most members make holiday and documentary films. Some also make films in support of local charities.

The Club as a group also makes films of different genres from drama to comedy and are keen to recruit new members who may be interested in this activity.

Members themselves have acted in some productions and enjoyed the experience.

Filming requires additional skills in developing a suitable storyline, scripting, designing, producing props, direction and different technical skills in filming.
